On offer here is a superb,Victorian woolwork picture depicting HMS Liffey. The Liffey was a 51 gun frigate last in commission in 1870, serving in the West Indies and Mediterranean. The flags probably define the countries it visited. I believe the Liffey was scrapped early in C20. The picture is in lovely condition; just the occasional strand out of place, but superbly worked. The image itself measures 26 inches x 19 inches and the whole picture framed 35 inches x 29 inches. The image can be removed from the frame for despatch if required; obviously it will be cheaper to transport that way. A really lovely, quality piece in excellent condition.
